I opened up MSN this morning and to my (lack of) surprise, there was a huge headline: "Wife ditches A-rod for Rock Star".

Apparently, A-Rod’s wife, Cynthia, has been shacked up with rocker Lenny Kravitz in Paris, while A-rod is running around with Madonna.

Here is my question: Cynthia is in Paris. A-Rod is playing big league ball-Who is watching their 2 kids? How about instead of trying to out do each other with who can sleep with the bigger super star, A-Rod and his wife (not yet divorced) focus on their kids.

Better yet, how about we get back to the roots of sports: Athletes are known for playing thier sport, not sleeping around. Managers were fired face to face, not via text messages. Alex Rodriguez says that he will not participate in the home run derby this year, saying that he wants to protect his finely tuned swing.

Rodriguez said that the derby has “always had” adverse affects on a batters mechanics.

People need to lay of A. Rod. He knows his body better than anyone. The derby is a show that can have adverse affects. Just look at Bobby Abreu, who slumped the whole 2nd half of the season after he won the derby. Now people are bugging A. Rod about him and Madonna. LEAVE THE GUY ALONE! Let him life his life and play the game.
